Snow Buds white tea known as Xue Ya in China, is harvested by hand approximately 1100 meters above sea level in Fujian province of Southeast China. Snow Buds are quite rare and can only be picked from a specific type of white tea plant three days of the year. White teas are known for their mild taste and soft lingering aroma. Snow Buds has a bright clear infusion, fresh savory taste and an aroma of sweet toasted chestnut. Unique to China, and produced in very limited quantities, white tea is made by drying young tea leaves and unopened buds without subjecting them to heat. The result is a delicate brew with a soft, velvety flavor.
